I have FIVE novels going at once. I love them all but don't know which to finish first. Which are you most interested in?
1. A sequel to Pride and Prejudice, picking up 9 years after. Three kids, Mary and Kitty still single. Kitty is misled by a man who actually likes MARY! Then Kitty has an affair with Wickham, and Elizabeth has to leave the three kids in Mrs. Bennet's care, which Darcy doesn't like. Arguement...... etc!
2. Also in 1800's. A sixteen year old girl who has no wish to be wed. But her father is dead, and her little sister having no man in her life, her mom AND her are on man-watch at the same time! She receives a proposal from her closest male friend and refuses. Her mother is enraged and ends up marrying the 15 year younger friend! The girl is furious and stays with a friend where she meets a poor pleasent man. She instantly likes him, but he sees her as a rich snob, no more then an acquaintance. What will she do?
3. A story about a rich girl who hates it. Everyone

Expects her to be a snob, so she moves in with middle class friends and pursues her dreams. Her sister is banished to the same town and wrecks it with her spoiled temper. Now everyone is a snob! A close relative's death brings her back to Hollywood, and the small town is in ruins with debt and a tornado. She uses her fortune to help them... THE END.

4. A group of girls gone bad. They think they are in some prank club called Jinx, but it is really a cult run by the pleasent vice principle! They start a prank war, get in trouble, and it's up to the principle and an ex-Jinx girl to discover who it is. They follow various clues and find that it is the Principal's SON (a victim) and the VP.

5. Basically based off my middle school life. A group of girls meets in sixth grade and comes close. Various hilarious episodes in classes. A tangle of boyfriends and cheating and heartbreak. In seventh grade, ex-boyfriends of many girls tighten to form great friends. A huge fight erupts and the friendship is almost shattered over three boys liking the same girl. The main charecter has incidents with lying, falling prey to gossip, and a friend wanting to be more. Etc... very realistic and entertaining.

Please be honest, but not cruel. Which should I focus on? Thanks!

I would recommend an edit/author group. They meet monthly to review ideas and read/edit your written text as part of the group activity. Each month or week its another group members turn.
It can be brutal and productive. Just based on your ideas listed above, it would help. Best wishes and keep on writing.

To answer your question- sadly none of them would remotely interest me to lift up the book and read the cover. Here's why~

#2 is the only idea that is worth building a case for, it needs a lot of work ! The subject matter shows your age, the poor use of topic shows lack of historical information. Re do and make it what YOU know, unless your a history buff. Make it current.

P&P is very deep, the movies are weak in translation, re read it. Jane A was a brilliant writer, read some of her other work that wasn't so popular and find out "why" and build your thoughts out of that. See the deeper levels of the novel.

Readers today are more educated than ever before. Write up, not down to their level.

Enjoy groups like NANO.com

Have fun and bravo for asking for help-upfront!

So, you are looking for an uttermost honest answer?

I wouldn't read any of them. The plot lines do not interest me a single bit. They are unrealistic (which wouldn't be so bad if the story appeared interesting), and don't appeal to me.

What's more- a tornado? And little Miss Rich here to save the day? Come on, this is old, cliché, and not even remotely interesting.

Also- how you could you last with these kinds of plotlines? Not long enough to give it the name of a novel. Even if you do spread the dull sauce, no one will want to put up with it very long.

Sorry, but being honest.

5. (Which, unfortunately is not now visible, as it was added.)

About 1: I wouldn't read it, as I love Pride and Prejudice and would be frustrated by someone who doesn't know the time picking it up. Also, I don't buy your plot. Among other things, Elizabeth wouldn't have to leave her kids with anyone, as there would be lots of people to take care of them, but even if she did, she'd leave them with Jane -- or almost anyone other than her mother.

The best thing about 5 is that it is in a world you know. At least when you are starting, Always Write About What You Know. It will be real. (Actually, this is the very advice Jane Austin gave a novelist niece, who wrote of some of her characters going to Ireland -- "By all means, send them off to Ireland, but you'd best not follow them there as you know nothing of the manners, etc."). This is time-honored advice: stick with what you know. Besides, it sounded fun.

I would most like to read the fifth book you describe. And, IMHO it should be the easiest for you, as it is about what you know.
