Stay away from on-line lenders. Too much personal info to someone you don't know.
If this is your first home purchase, make sure you have already decided (BEFORE going in) how much house you can afford. We were told we could afford a house that was three times my husband's annual salary (industry standard). We bought one for the same as his annual salary and were SOOOO happy we did. By the time taxes and insurance are added on to the payment, we realized we would have been in WAY over our heads at 3x his salary.
