Lofty treehouse - to hear the bird song, smell the clean air, see the views. Cosy caves are too claustrophobic
Mind you, I'm scared of heights...

Cosy cave. I don't like being high up at all! Besides, in a cave, I'd feel more secure and warm... and the fact that it'd be cold there is a plus for me! Then I could have thick blankets everywhere and sweaters on all day- 24/7... how nice would that be? ;)

I presume you are studying anthropology. Lofty treehouse dwelling is very old fashioned. Modern day homosapiens prefer cozy caves.

Since our ancestors did sleep in trees and caves, I had a thought, aren't most bedrooms upstairs or in the back of the house? Is that a throwback to prehistoric days?

They both sound wonderful to me, but if I had to choose it would be a cosy cave. After living through several hurricanes I figure the cave is safer.

Great question!!

I'd love to live in a treehouse. Think of the view. It would have to be sturdy enough to stand the wind, but in a good windstorm it would be like riding a rollercoaster. Living in a cave might be safer, but it would be like having your head stuck in the sand. And if someone/something wanted to attack you, where would you go? Treehouse has my vote every time!

The lofty treehouse!! a good view, lots of fresh air, caves are cold and damp and I'm a little scared of them to tell ya the truth. :)

A cave. I'd do it up like Batman's cave. Mega-decent computer to hack into police files. Workshop to build weapons and gadgets and a big monster of a car that could outrun anything. Oh yeah, I'd have my superheo suit in the wardrobe.
