Well I didn't have any insurance. I just didn't get any prenatal care ( baby came out healthy, no problems) and went to the county hospital for the birth and paid bill in payments. They can't reposses your baby if you can't pay it all either.

wow, lots of harsh people. I understand what they are saying though. it depends on the state you live in. In michigan if you get pregnant and do not have insurance the mother and the child are insured through the government. The mother is only insured during the pregnancy and 6 months after. depending on your fincial situation the child is insured only for so long. if you are are near poverty level the government will insure the child until 18.

Don't you think that is a bad idea and irresponsible? You want to have a baby, but who is going to pay the medical bills for you and the child? Why don't you get a job where you can have insurance before you try to conceive.

What about your husband, does he have health insurance? Do the right thing for you and your potential child, get health benefits, then do family planning. Being in love and married is a great start.
