First of all, this is a horrible time to upgrade, unless you absolutely need to and it doesn't seem like you do. Here's what you should do, wait until at least the fall, that's when nVidia is coming out with the 8 series which will make the 7950GX2 look like yesterdays garbage with DirectX 10 support and on-GPU physics processing. If you want to wait even more then wait until next year when Vista comes out and by then the 8600 series should be out (the 8 series coming out will start with the 8800 series followed later presumably by the 8600 series). These cards are also power hungry in the 150W+ range so be prepared to upgrade your power supply, or get a dedicated GPU power supply. You'll need upwards of 650W just for the 7950GX2 (though my friend got a 1000W power supply it isn't quite enough for him, his system barely works and the voltages are just slightly unstable).

I've tested a Leadtek 7950 GX2 with A8N-E and it worked fine. Just be sure you can provide the recommended alimentation (a minimum recommended 400W system power supply (with 12V current rating of 27A) ).
You'll also need two PCIex slots on the motherboard (one for the video card and the other one for supplementary power connector).

it will probably work but like the guy before me said, you picked a crappy time to upgrade, especially to a top of the line card. i would say wait AT LEAST till DX10 and all the new top of the line cars that will come out then, but dont buy the cards for about 1 month so all the bugs can be sorted out (in theory... hello 7900GT...). Either way, yo can buy your $600 7950GX2 if you REALLY REALLY want it, but just know in a year youll probably find it in a garage sale or somethin...(exaggeration btw)
