Remaining a virgin before marrying comes with a double-edge sword.
Jessica Simpson is prime example. She married way too young and she remained a virgin. However after marriage, she begin to wonder if she had missed out by not engaging in other sexual relationships with men.
My friend is another example. She cheated on her spouse several times because she too felt she was missing or had missed out.
However, there are some women who never experience this and live happy and healthy lives with their mates.
Men think this is a "pride" thing when they tell other people their wives were virgins before marrying. Little do they know, the people they tell are probably thinking, "Let the count down begin before she steps out on him."

It depends on whether it is important to you. A lot of guys want to marry a virgin but want to sow their wild oats first and deflower girls. So in essence what they are doing the male species an injustice because they are depleting the virgins. At the same time many girls don't care anymore about being virgins. Moral character has changed alot.
You have to decide whether you can deal with the fact that your bride might not be a virgin and if you can't then you will have to search for the right girl who happens to be a virgin.

look, 1st of all, screw all you prudes that are supporting this
question. R U serious? is it 2006 or 1846? Jezus Christ, I honestly can't believe people still think like this. Unless you are like 12, there is no reason for this crap. If you marry someone
who happens to be a "virgin" thats fine; im not slamming virgins
dont get that twisted, but because someone chose to have sex
before they were ready to get married does not make them
damamged goods. know what? who the fu!ck wnats a virgin?
know whats sexy? confidence, someone who knows what they
like sexually and from realtionships. thats a key to a lasting
relationship, not this prim and proper realtionship bull sh!t.
damaged goods. id like to track some of these prudes down
and "damage thier goods" they sound like they could use a good
wet screw anyhow.damaged goods. know what? fu!ck each and
every last one of you gaddamned tight wads. i bet it must be soooo wonderful to be better than "us" tell you what, you go and
be better than me and not have sex or have fun or live your life
and be miserable; ill be that mother f!ucker having sex
and living my life and having a gaddamned ball

Listen...this is not new land, you are not discovering anything new and planting your flag. What you are hoping is that you are so fantastic that she will be so amoured by you and not be able to compare you with anything else. If you happend to fall in love with someone who happens to be a virgin. Congratulations. If you don't congratulations. You are too caught up with what people in the street think, than what your to be wife thinks. "yeah.....he was my first and my last, or HECK yeah that is my first and my last. Get over yourself and aim to please your woman, not your ego. If your woman is pleased, then she will please your ego, not the other way around.

I'm sorry to say that there are few virgins left, of age to marry at least. People are supposed to get married because they feel much love for each other, not because of anything in their past lives.

Now what idiot on the street is going to come up to a couple and say, "I was her first man?"
And you can't tell, with 100% certainty, if any woman is a virgin. You need to grow up, a lot, before you ever consider marriage.

In retrospect, I'd stay away from virgins. I mean if they are very religious and eager to get married and start having sex, fine, but most of them just stayed virgins because their sex drive was low. Do you really want to be married to someone who is that much less interested in sex then you?
