Yup! Everyone is making such a big deal about what he said, when in fact, most of us have had similar thoughts, noone is 100% not prejudice. It just affects him more cuz he's a star. Freedom of speech in this country. Besides, the real issue should be that he was driving, 90mph, under the influence of alcohol, but, hey, I guess that's OK. So, the next time I get pulled over, after drinking all night, I guess as long as I make racial slurs, everything else is ok. See the example this is setting by focusing on the wrong issue?

I love Mel Gibson. He made a mistake while he was drunk. I don't think he really felt the way he was acting. He was very, very drunk and angry. People say things when are angry. The man just made a mistake and the people who canceled his show to be, know he made a mistake. They are doing what the public may or may not want. They should be man enough to use their own discretion about the situation. Mel knows that the Jews own hollywood. He is not really a fool.

It is so amazing how people can sit there and be all like oh no i am not gonna see his movie. if you ever got a dui and ran your own business would you want someone to say oh well i cant go there cus they had a dui? no you are a normal person. Just because he is a celeb doesnt mean that he is some super human person that should never ever make a mistake. get over it and watch his movies they are good.

I can't really blame him for being drunk and saying stupid things. I'm not saying the things he said were right, i'm against antisemetism. But he's apologized, he didn't mean to hurt anyone, and just because he is a celebrity doesn't mean he isn't allowed to make a mistake.
Think about it this way. I'm black, and I'm in love with a mexican girl. If I were to get drunk and call her a wet back I would want to be forgiven because I truly don't mean it. I doubt he really has anything against the Jewish Community because without them Christianity wouldn't be the same. Someone had to kill Christ so that our sins would be forgiven. They say they're the chosen ones. Maybe thats what they were chosen for.

If I consider a movie worth while to see, I will go see, whether Mel Gibson is in it or not.
I believe Hollywood plays politics as much if not more so than Washington and very hypocritical. I believe the success of the Passions of Christ has lead people in Hollywood to decide he plays Jesus Christ very well. Crucified him for their hypocrisy.

I didn't see "The Passion of the Christ" because I really wasn't interested but he has definitely made some good movies. If he comes out with another good movie I will go see it. Alcohol makes people say and do stupid things and he shouldn't be judged by what some cop repeated that he supposidly said.

What Mel Gibson said was despicable -- he admitted that himself -- and I think revealed a lot about what kind of person he is inside. And I would think twice about supporting his work. On the other hand, there are a lot of great artists who were anti-semitic: Pound, Dostoevsky, Wagner, etc. We can still appreciate some of these artists' work, but we should remain aware of their despicable ideas.

Yes, I love Mel Gibson. The man was drunk and he apologized. What more do people want? A crucifixion?

I wasn't planning on seeing anything he did anyway... He is a lunatic! The only thing I plan on watching about on or by Mel Gibson is re runs of that South Park episode where they depicted him as the Crazy Daffy Duck. Poor Daffy...
