if you are playing by note, then yes, they are the treble clef keys. However, most guitar playing is by chords, even finger picking.

It's much easier with tablature...much easier, but i thin that you should start with a classical guitar, have music lessons and learn to read notes. Be patient it's not easy but after a while you ll be ready to play everything you want much easier. Don't buy an eclectic. Try a classical or an acoustic and exercise yourself. Don't try to play songs for the first 2-3 months because you'll be disappointed.

Dude do yourself a favor and start buying or figuring out music that has tablature. Tablature for guitar is easy to read because you can tell exactly where the notes are on the fretboard. It's all numbers and symbols mostly and it takes all the guess-work out of trying to figure out where the notes go. Rock on and good luck.

You should learn how to read guitar sheet music it will come in handy if you want to learn the piano. You should at least know how to read tabs even tho that is the poor way to play
