How would you know why your baby is crying?

If your baby cries a lot during the first few months of its life, what would you do to find out the reason why it's crying so much?

Try everything. Whatever works lets you know what the cause was.

There are very few things that could be wrong with a newborn, and you check the most common first .. hungry, wet, cold or too hot. Those are the most common. If you check all those, and he's fine in those departments, try burping him.. gas can make babies uncomfortable. Once you've done this for a month or 2, you'll get to recognise the cries, and know what's wrong, unless it's a cry you don't know, then you'll know it's not any of the common things, and you have to check something else.

You go through all the reasons why he might be crying, sooner or later you hit on the right one. Then you learn to tell by the way he cries what is wrong with him. there's a hungry cry and a wet cry and I need to be cuddled cry and the list goes on. Eventually, you learn which cry means what.

My third baby (of 5) cried alot, Little did I know that she had colic! I was under the impression that brestfed babies didn't get colic, but I was wrong, and by the time I knew what it was, I was too late! It doesn't last forever. In time you know what your babies needs and wants are by the cry. Just remember, babies need your touch, don't just let them lay there and cry, it's NOT for their own good!

if u haven't gave him food in a while then hes probably hungry and u know if u gotta change its diaper and maybe it wants attention
