I would like to add one more hard disk to my desktop computer, is there any procedure to follow?

I use an external Western Digital with a USB 2.0 connection. It is slower than an internal but is more convenient for me for backup.

not really, connect either IDE/SATA cable power cable.
the bios should auto detect it, then u would need to go into my computer, right click on the drive, and choose format
and choose either FAT32 or NTFS

you can add one as long as yopu have an extra hard drive bay inside, and your computer supports the one you want to buy

if you are adding a second hard drive and its going to be a slave make sure you set the jumpers as a slave.

just a tip. if you are using windows then make sure to format it as ntfs.
