I love reading medical murder mysteries... One of my favorite authors in this genre is Tess Gerritsen. I recently have been picking up other ones but they are all lackluster and I solve the case in the first 50 pages... Does anybody have any good recommendations? I've read Crichton who is okay but I hate Robin Cook... Likewise I like light and funny romance novels, like those by Meg Cabot. Something with humor... I'd really appreciate suggestions on these books rather than me picking them out at random because I usually hate them. Any suggestions would be wonderful! Thank you!

Both genres are so broad.
Why not try something like this. Pick a day of the week when you can go to the library and spend at least an hour and sit and review/read. Make it a weekly ritual.
That way, if you don't like it you can put the book down and start another one at no cost.
The library is conducive to just reading, and there's no pressure to buy anything.

Okay I like Kathy Reich who writes mysteries based round a woman pathologist.

Patricia Cornwell actually started this genre but, although her early ones are good, the later ones are catastrophically bad.

My favorite humourous romance author is Jennifer Cruise. She's wonderful.

No suggestions for the medical. Not my favorite genre.

Nikki, i'm a large fan of James Patterson whilst it contains homicide/secret books. JP writes short chapters so as which you would be able to offer up once you're tire of reading and not interior the direction of a financial ruin. i think of you would be hooked after only one e book. PJ M

For the funny romance, you've got to read Janet Evanovich. Her books are quite amusing.
