Oh yes...several times.
Thirty years ago, a moment of incredible clarity occured. It became painfully obvious to me that some people don't have any sense of right/wrong. In that instant, my whole mind/life changed. In the realization(judgment) of this flaw in others, I had to face the fact that I did know right from wrong. I had tasted the forbidden fruit. I was no longer warmed in the innocence of God's garden.
Several years later, I had a strange experience that showed me how our minds don't tell us the truth all of the time. I did some research, and found that my experience was not uncommon. I had approached a full length mirror, without realizing that the image of a man in the mirror, was actually my reflection. I did not recognize myself. As I tried to step around the individual I perceived, I became irritated at his attempts to do the same. It was several moments before I noticed our identical clothing, and then...in a flash...the image changed! Right before my eyes, I watched the transformation of a strange image, into a familiar reflection. I had to ask myself, "Do we have preconceived notions of ourselves, that override our senses, in favor of what our brain thinks we should see?" I did some research into optical 'blind spots', and 'optical illusions' that did a lot to reassure me I was not totally crazy. (well, maybe a little)...
The first is an example of what I believe Catholics call 'Origanal Sin'. The second may be what Hindu's refer to when saying, 'life is an illusion'.
I think the movie Matrix speaks to both issues very well...

Yes, damn it and it doesn't happen anywhere near often enough.
The strongest one was when I was in the 9th grade, and I realized that life sucked and was going to be very very hard.
Now, was this a moment of great understanding and clarity or was this a self fulling prophecy? I lean towards understanding based on lack of control of external factors- but I have no proof to support this, just the hypothesis

Yes, I have had many of those moments.......... as you get older, all things become clear in time. But it is unfortunate, that clarity doesn't come until after its too late......... It always happens that way.

that
the UNIVERSE
is ONE BODY.
ONE BODY
that looks like many
and ONE SOUL
because there isn't room for two
in the ONE UNIverse.
Now, I can't look at a rock
without thinking
that in some dimension
everything MINE
is connected to EVERYTHING THE ROCK'S
and everythings else.

on almost a daily basis... I didn't picture myself struggling with money as much as I have been...should have taken a deeper look at what I REALLY wanted.
