I continue to have this oncurring dream that I'm either working or visiting my old job that I haven't been at for at least six years. What could that mean?

Dreams are messages from the subconscious, listen close, and follow the guidance closely they might bring you closer to your destiny.
You seem to be carrying lots of unfinished issues from your past office that are recurring now in your present office, especially your relationships, interaction with bosses, colleagues and clients.
Note carefully all similarities and recurring patterns of situations, and this might take you to solutions at your present. What do you wish you could have done differently at your last place of work, what do you want to change there, do that now, here you have a chance to make a fresh start don’t repeat the same old story, time to write a new one.

Recurring dream means some unresolved issue.
In you case, it could mean you missed the job or there is something you have not finished in your last job. Could it be some work or some words to your boss you have not finished? Subconsciously you go back and want to fulfill it. That may be the reason why you want to go back and finish it.
It also could mean the satisfaction of your current job. You project some comparison from the past. You want to give yourself self satisfaction if you are doing better now or you regret leaving the last job.
I could be wrong, but that is how I see from your dream

Its a recall dream~ you are feeling or experiencing a similar thing at this time. Take the time to "relate it" to the current awake experience. Its a wonderful opportunity for your mind to work out the complex details of a current event by playing this "old movie" in your mind, while you body rests. Dreams are powerful tools. Write it down on paper- its really great to read it, some times its crystal clear at that point.

Dreams are a dimension which we visit in our conscious...It is a different reality, maybe even a different life that we live everytime that we sleep. Listen to your dreams because they mean alot.

If you haven't done any hanky-panky in those jobs go and visit if you can. This could be something in your sub-conscious that you might not be aware of.
