Depends. If we are talking about the released versions of LOTR, then Star Wars...If we are talking about the extended editions of LOTR, then I'd have to say LOTR.
Although really, it should be a question of "The Precious! The Precious!" versus Vader's heavy breathing, in which case, again, I must go with Star Wars.

definitely Star Wars.......although I haven't stayed awake during the LOTR movies so I guess I really wouldn't know. But I found it all too confusing. And I LOVE Star Wars!!

LOTR. I like both sets of movies, but when the firs Rings movie was over I was biting my nails waiting for the next one. Maybe I was to young when the Star Wars movies came out to really appreciate them.

Lord of the Rings! It stayed true to the books, and each movie stayed in line with the story. Stars Wars is great, but Lucas screwed it up when he made all those changes.
