With great radio services like Sirius and XM satillite radio, where there's no comercials on music stations, great news services, the best talk raido, and DJ's that don't sit and BS about how their day is or those annoying contests, how long do you think regular raido will be around? I give it ten more years, and that's it. Sateillite will be King

For the 11 million people that have satellite radio it's already dead.
Some AM/FM stations will always be around just like there's free TV stations but most people watch cable/satellite so I guess there will always be a few but the number will get smaller as time goes by.

For music, yes, very much so, now that you can take a large number of songs with you in small music players with no moving parts other than the part of the earbuds or headphones that vibrate to make the sound. That and broadcast stations operate under a plutocratic system that favors Autotuned bubble gum. Radio, however, is still very useful for real-time news and emergency information, and that applies to FM as well as AM.
