If you're based in the UK:

Keep your options open if you're looking for a job to earn money and roller-coast over the next couple of months!

BECAUSE come October 2006 the Law changes and "age discrimination" becomes illegal here! Translate to, you stand a b****y good chance of getting back into the market even at 65.

Off the top of my head - B&Q does have a policy to employ older people; that reliable and experienced sense that maturity conveys so convincingly. As a previous poster stated - Charities. But I doubt that they will pay a wage if this is what you are actively seeking. Some managerial posts are available for the Silver-Set, but they aren't rushing the door-down. This area is primarily open to folks with experience in Banking, International Finance, Stocks.

But honestly, it's slim pickings out there. I can't WAIT to see what or how matters will change in roughly 8 weeks.

I am afraid that I do not know, however it is worth knowing that this year (in October) a new act will be passed. This will make it illegal to reject applicants for jobs based upon age.

don't know of any - as far as I knew they could only work as consultants (of course I've seen people retire, then come right back as a "consultant" and do their same job)
