CC is carbon copy. You send an email to someone using the "to" field and you send the same email to others parties that may be interested in the "cc" field. BCC is exactly the same except the receiving party does not see the names. If you are doing a mass mailing you can send the email to yourself and put all the other receivers in the BCC field. I'm sure you have received spam addressed to someone else and wonder why you have a copy. It's the BCC field.

BCC and CC are terms used in formal letters to advise people of certain information. You BCC someone when you don't want the original recipients to know that you are sending a copy of that letter/memo to another person/people. You CC someone when you want them to be aware of certain info or for them to have a copy of the letter/memo. The original e-mail recipients will be able to see that they received a copy.
bcc= blind carbon copy. if you send an e-mail as a bcc the other recipients will not be able to see that you sent it to that person, hence the word blind. cc=carbon copy, if you send an e-mail as cc the other recipients will see that you sent a copy of that e-mail to another person.
Sorry for the redundancy...

Blind Carbon Copy, allows you to send a copy of an e-mail to somebody and you do not wish other the party to know that another copy was sent, you can place their e-mail address in the BCC area of your e-mail client. A list of all recipients of the e-mail appears on the message, except those listed in the BCC.
most email clients have it if your using yahoo mail, click on add bcc.

cc is an old term for carbon copy. Now it means that when you send the email to addressee, you can also send it, at the same time, to other people, using the cc window.
bcc means "blind carbon copy." Works the same way, but when you use this, the other people cannot see who you are copying to. To use either, just insert the addresses and separate them with a comma.

You can use both.
Cc - means: Carbon copy. The recipient(s) can see who else got a copy of that e-mail.
Bcc - means: Blind carbon copy. The recipient(s) CANNOT see who else got a copy of that e-mail.
You can put any or all recipients into Bcc, and nobody can see who else got a copy. It's the best way for forwarding "interesting" e-mails, so those people who abuse by spamming can't collect all the e-mail addresses for their annoing e-mail spams.

Cc: is a reference to how you copied someone on a letter years ago. it stands for "Carbon Copy". Carbon paper was like a sheet of blue paper that was slipped in between to pieces of paper when typing. The carbon paper would copy what ever was typed on the first sheet to the second sheet of paper behind it. Of course carbon paper isn't used any more, but the use of the phrase hung in there. I guess I'm showing my age...lol
Bcc: Stands for "Blind Carbon Copy". It's used when you don't want one of the people "copied" to know the other was copied when you copied more then one person.

bcc is blind carbon copy.
cc is carbon copy.
As the name indicates if you click 'bcc' no body can see the email address to which you are replying or forwarding,
If you click 'cc' everybody can see the email address to which you are replying or forwarding.
