ADD stands for Attention Deficit Disorder. It is a psychiatric disorder recognized by the medical profession. You may also hear ADHD, that stands for Attention Deficit Hyper-activity Disorder, also a medically recognized disorder. Both are treated with medications, too much so with children however! If you want to find out more about the disorder look it up in the DSM IV, it is the handbook all psychiatrists use to diagnose an axis disorder.

It stands for Attention Deficit Disorder. People, usually children with ADD have short attention spans and can't stay focused for very long, kind of like when someone with a remote control changes the channel every 5 seconds.

Sadly, children are often misdiagnosed and over-medicated because teachers and/or parents can't tolerate their natural energy.
