It seems like there are 3 different catagories for describing a girl's beauty. A lot of men(and sometimes lesbian and bi women) call me sexy, but I'm cute and pretty to my family and friends. I don't like being called cute because the word is powerless and diminutive.

cute offers a non-sexual atraction and often with younger people.
Pretty is refering to ones eye wanting to look at that person for extended periods of time.
Sexy inplicates an attraction based on overall sexual appeal.

Cute is a means oif saying someone is adorable or attractive. Pretty is someone who will still be stunning at 8 in the morning. Sexy means that you have a strong sexual pull to that person.
