for some reason the smoke detectors keep beeping and there is no smoke or anything. they just go off at random intervals and last about 30secs. this is very annoying...does anyone know why this is might be happening?...maybe batteries need to be replaced but i dont know

Try hitting them with a hammer. No more then 3 wacks each. If this doesn't stop the noise, place the detector behind your cars tires and back over them.

yes ur batteries need to be replaced! they will still beep a little when u take the battery out!! set up a time to replace them every year... we do ours on New Years Day.......be sure to get a good name brand battery!
