Yes, I have met many famous people of several eras. I was entertainment coordinator, writer, producer and show director for Walt Disney for 10 years. I met so many but the ones I liked best were the Country Western stars because they were so gracious and unaffected. The best person was Ross Martin, who was in the Maverick series. He was so sweet. I arranged tickets for him and his family to visit Disneyland over a 4th of July. I then went on a holiday and when I was on holiday, I discovered that he had passed away. Do you know that his wife Hilavie sent me a note apologizing because they did not use the tickets? The worst group I worked with were the Pointer Sisters and I won't say why.

I once worked at a resturant at an airport. Malcom Young from AC/DC came in to eat, they were having a concert that night. I started talking to him about playing the guitar, because I play.
I was told to meet the person who he was with out back, I did with a friend, we were let into the show through the back, and given back stage passes and met the whole band, but didn't really have conversations with the rest because there were so many people there.

I've sat down and talked candidly with Michael Jordan here in Chicago several times. I met him at Fat Tony's restaurant and saw him there a total of 3 times, he loves it there. Be careful of approaching him though, if you seem him there, and aren't a real fan - I learned that he dislikes people that are ignorant of his accomplishments. For instance if you don't know how many times hes won the championship, know of his career accalades and many tribulations, don't bother the man...still he is humble, but at least if you want to talk to him you might want to research him. I own many autographed items from him now and he has become a good friend of mine. We talk on a weekly basis. Also something odd about him is that he owns 3 rabbits.

I have met many stars that have come through my hometown...Leaders of the New School, The Rock, Nikki Giovanii (her conversation was classic). When I was about 15 or younger and hip-hop was still clean music to listen to, I met Chuck D. and Flava Flav of Public Enemy at a charity basketball game. I was "in love" with Chuck and asked for his autograph, which he signed on a drawing a friend of mine did for me. I proceeded to ask his age...as if I really had a chance with him. I was 15!!! He gave me a look like...do you really want to know and he told me he was in his 30's. Not the lengthy conversation I had with Nikki Giovanni, but it was one I will always remember!

I've talked with a few rock stars. Working at a few radio stations, that's pretty common. Whole conversations though, with how much time they have on their hands, which is very little, is not as common. One I remember in particular was Trent Reznor. Very intelligent man. And not rude like I had expected.

Yes,
Micky Mantle,
Joe Garagiola
Bob Grise (Miami DOlphins)
and most of the Dolphins back in 78.
Most were nice and polite people
since I was a bartender at a large hotel in Florida
I got to see many celebs I didn't try to talk to many of them but I served many drinks to them over the years.
Betty Ford was there once. I guess she caused the biggest stir.

A short conversation with Frank Sinatra in the early 70s.
A short conversation with OJ Simpson, again in the early 70s.
I was a child when I met both, and I really don't remember much except that they were both extremely polite to me.

I once had quite a long chat with Roald Dahl, as part of a book signing session I was organising. He told me how much he hated the Gene Wilder version of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory!!
