I can't take it!!!?

Question

Ok - 37 weeks, I feel like I have the flu. I have been in the bathroom all morning. Some have said this has happened prior to labor starting. How close am I? I can't believe anyone would try castor oil as this is bad enough without it?!?!?!?!?!? I just hope that something happens soon cause if I have these symptoms for another three weeks I may just go nuts!

I keep forgetting to mention that I have a 7 year old - so I know what happens as they grow up (and have dealt with the sucker tree as well as an entire kickball display).

I just don't remember reacting to labor in this way. :)

I started getting diarrhea about 72 hrs before i went into labor! Congrats!

I am right there with you! with me I have quesy feelings and I feel so out of sorts that I feel like I have the flu. When I asked my mom she told me not to worry the quesy feelings are just from the braxton hicks contractions (which aparently don't always hurt but are just your uterus tightening and releasing) also your body is probably starting to produce the hormones that will enable you to have your baby! Unfortunately you could still have a ways to go! Try walking and lots and lots of sex to stimulate your labor but they aren't guaranteed to work. You can also ask your Dr. to check to see if you have progressed any. But on the brightside if your body is prepping itself to go into labor your chances for needing to be induced are alot lower! But at 37 weeks I'm sure that is the least of your worries! I am only 35 weeks and going crazy!

OK my knee jerk answer is "its par for the course, hang in there, it's almost over". I would love to tell you that you are close but these things are just so unpredictible. It could be labor starting but the only one that can answer that is your doctor. I would call today because they may want to see you or at least give you some advice to help with this. I'm not sure if you are throwing up or what but please, please, please keep yourself hydrated. If you can't drink water, try Sprite or Ginger Ale. Also, ask if you can take something for nausea if you have that problem...

if you are trowing up on a regular basis like being able to set your watch by it you could be having back labor and should go to the hospital right away, this happened with my mother when she was having me, lucky my cousin was there with her and noticed that she was throwing up every three minutes and took her to the hospital, an hours later i was born, my dad almost didn't have time to get there from work, lol,

Hope you are close. No sure way to tell unless you go get checked. But try to hang in there and get plenty of rest! You will need it when that baby comes. Tell the doctor of your symptoms.

It's fairly common to have diarrhea when labor is close. Basically it's your body's way of cleansing itself before labor.

I have 4 kids now that is NUTS! lol it won't be very much longer go to the park after you finish getting sick and walk till you can't no more. and keep that up till you have the baby you will find it so much easier god bless and good luck

HAHA - welcome to the "golden times" of child raisin' - you'll be BEGGING for this after the damn thing knocks over a sucker tree at the grocery store.
