use a pumice block to remove the callus, at least that sounds right to me. this may be an ongoing problem . buff them while in the shower and try putting lots of lotion on them often

I do the same thing too, that is crazy. My thumbs are pretty beat up too. I will put fake nails on and that keeps me from doing it. But in his case I have no clue. They are permanently scarred and there is pretty much nothing you can do about it. Mine have gotten much better with time, but you can definately tell I have been scratching them.

Tell him to stop with that habbit make him start a new one like do like a quiet hum or something.And you should put lotion on his thumbs.If that don't work than bring him to a nail place.

he mite not like the idea of going to a salon but he can try go to somebody who works fromhome and get a paraffin wax manicure it increases blood circulation gives his hand a healthy glow and they feel absolutly marvelous after wards

First he needs to go to therapy to stop doing it, then you should let them heal and put later some Petroleum made cream, like Vaseline.

i say forget the therapists and whatnot just talk to him and make him aware of what hes doing to himself and get him to stop also help him figure out another way to work out hes nerves
