IMF(Internation Monetary Funds) is being hosted in Singapore's Suntec City. According to the news here. They are using Wired connection instead of wireless. I would to know why?

There will be wireless hotspots around as well.

Supposely, one of the reasons to be heavily wired up is that it is just a 10-days event, so wires would be a cheaper and more practical solution, and better security as well.
