It's not rule. It also isn't a conscious decision. People are animals and like all other animals we were born with instincts that protect us. We also learn defence as we grow and experience things.
If person with certain facial or physical features hurt you badly when you were young, then anyone that looks or resembles that person will cause you to be apprehensive. You can't help it.
So if you meet someone for the first time, their appearance and behaviour will make an immediate impression based on your life experience. And you will judge them. You'll have little or no control. This decision may change after you get to know that person, but the initial feelings will never change.
Believe me, more jobs have been lost and more relationships stopped, before they ever got going, because of first impressions. Keep that in mind as you choose what you look like and how you behave.

It's todays society, but you have to make slipt second judgements, you see someone doing drugs in a dark ally, piercings, dirty, and someone who could attack you, would you want to hang out with them?! (I meant someone doing ALL of the above)
It's also human nature to judge whether or not, that person is someone you would associate with. People these days get carried away with judging others and don't give anybody chances at all, i agree!
I'm not saying i agree with judging or being judged, but it's human nature... but not all people are like that!

Most people look and act the way they do to project an image of who they are or want to be. That's why people judge you by these things!

I can say that some of the greatest people I ever knew were less that pretty. Now for the way people act that's a different story... If someone acts the fool they usually turn-out to be a fool.

yes people will judge anyways, but its how you see it counts, just don't let people get you down, let them judge, who cares you just walk with your head up high like you think that you are all that., I don't really care what people say about me,,,

Don't know, but it's true. take this example, if you see a hispanic person, most people would judge him as illegal.
