Recently I have been pondering the idea to begin taking the pill for extra safety. Although, within the last 2 years i have had issues with my weight. Obessing and taking diets too far. Im just wondering if going on the pill increases your weight by alot?

Lots of people say the pill can make you gain weight and make your breasts grown; however, I have been on the pill for over a year now, and I haven't had any weight fluxuation. I have heard that the depo shot causes the most weight gain!

For me the pill increased my weight by 15 lbs initially but that was also during finals for school and a lot of studying and last minute projects so I had no time to really work out or eat right or get enough sleep so that contributed to the weight gain but within the last 3 months my weight has fluctuated 33lbs losing 3 more pounds than I gained, becuase i ate right and exercised regularly.

I think it just depends on the person who is taking it. It is no fun to gain weight but if you think about it. You will gain more weight by getting pregnant than from using the pill.

Great move!!!! more protection is always better. Cause its a lot easier taking a pill than taking care of a baby. Check with your Doctor first. They usually test you to see which one's best for you. Just the same you need to watch what you eat , drink lots of water and get movin , walkin ,biking or just dancing in front of the mirror (that worked for me).

Physically, it won't but if you mentally think it will ... it will be a self-fulling prophecy. If you don't want to have a child. It is good to be safe. Best of luck...
