no one calls male dancers Ballerinos. Its a made up word. They just call them ballet dancers... and of course ballerina is only for females.

I would call him a "ballet dancer". I don't know why so many answers here are making fun. What would ballet be without the male dancers.... Ballet tells a story, and you can't tell a whole story with only the young women dancers.

I would call him a pimp, cause there aren't many guys out there who are willing to wear tights and throw girls around in the air.
A male ballet dancer is called a danseur.. A "dancer" perhaps?

This doesn't exactly fit, but I've heard it said about male cheerleaders that if you can't be an athlete, you can be an athletic supporter.
