I have a tattoo and my husband has three and we have never had a problem with any of them. Obviously we like them but some people don't. It's a matter of personal preference.

Tattoos are ok. Just make sure that the person who does it uses a brand new needle that is sealed in plastic or who makes his own and sterilizes the new needle, usually by pressure cooking it for 5 minutes. Also remember that a tattoo is very hard to remove so pick one that you are willing to have when you are sixty and older. Also pick a good place that you can conceal it easily like on a shoulder because some jobs don't let you have an exposed tattoo. It hurts to get one, so be prepared for some pain. Good luck.

I have tattoo's and so does my wife and we both like body art and it reminds me of where I am in my life right now. Its not longer a gangster related sign or symbol. But only one advice to people who are thinking about getting one. Its a permanent mark on your body so keep that in min before making up your mind. And make sure you get a good tattoo artiste to do you work, because it is a permanent mark and you want it to look good.

The tattoo places have to follow health codes, go to a place where someone you know has been too. Before you get your tatto, talk to the artiste, ask questions and then make your decission. Ask them if they sterilize their needles, if you reuse the ink used on someone else (you definitely don't want used ink). Someplaces will open the needle package in front of you, to assure you that its new needles.

I don't think tattoos are bad. In fact, I would not discourage anyone from getting one, as long as its something that was well thought out, not just for some guy/girl that they're dating or because some celebrity got one.

I personally like one or two tattoos on guys - so long as they're not too big or nasty. However, I have no tattoos and neither does my husband - he thinks they are absolutely disgusting and white trash. Both of us don't like them on women - they just look tacky and tasteless - and now that everyone seems to be getting them, they're no longer taboo at all.

I really don't like tattoes because they look trashy but that's my opinion. You can go ahead and do it if you want but think about htese things firts:
1. Most sophisticated people think its trashy
2. If you want to get it off then you have to go to surgery and pay alot of money and may sometimes leave a scar.
3. Needles you don't know where they've been
4. (This one is jsut for fun) They are OUT of style
5.They could prevent you from having things...
6. ...such as jobs, boyfreinds/ girlfriends, etc

I don't think they are bad, but my wife doesn't want me to get one. I want one, right below the neckline of my shirt on my back. Want to get some sort of symbol that means protection and love and put my daughters name near it, leaving room for another child's name hopefully.
