Should I Drop Brad Lidge & J.J Putz for John Maine & Anibal Sanchez or Kip Wells?

These are my best pitchers that I have & I definitately won't give up:Jered Weaver,Johan Santana,Anthony Reyes,Josh Johnson,Vincente Padilla, & Joe Nathan

John Maine is on a 23 IP scoreless streak. I would drop Reyes for him now. But that is all. Unless its a keeper league.

No way should you drop closers even if they're struggling a bit for starters that are either mediocre or less than mediocre. There are a limited number of closers. I virtually never drop one who's secure in his job no matter how good the SP available in the free agent pool is. I'll drop a bat or another SP. How many bats do you have on your bench? A lot of fantasy owners have three or four. In most leagues that's a waste. You seldom use them. Maine is the best of the bunch, but his minor league numbers don't suggest he'll keep it up. Sanchez is young and will be a good pitcher, but he'll likely be inconsistent rest of this season. Kip Wells is just a bad fantasy SP. If you're committed to picking up Maine, I'd drop Padilla or Reyes instead. Closers have trade value if you don't want Putz or Lidge offer them in trade. You should get a better SP than those you name.

stay away from sanchez and wells. i don't know why you would even consider picking up either of those players.

john maine hasn't done anything wrong so far, so he's worth picking up. if you must drop one of your pitchers, i'd suggest dropping reyes or padilla. they are both prone to having a bad game now and then.

Don't drop Putz, cause you cannot replace saves very easily, plus, it allows others to get saves.
