I love this country of the United States dearly, but recently I posed a question asking for the U.S. haters to explain their hatred. I got a good response from an English man and in my comments as I chose it the best answer I agreed with some of the things he said. I have been lambasted for this. I always though it was good to have introspection and see the problems from within as a way to perhaps remedy those problems. Please let me know, if I should follow blindly and without question this country of mine fine, but I would like to think it ok for me to think for myself and notice potential problems. Any thoughts???

In a forum such as this, and where you got a response which you felt said enough that you wanted to respond to it, you have every right to answer honestly. It is important to be able to criticize ourselves and to take the honest criticism of others.
You are right, that if you can't see a problem you can't remedy it.

The caveat I would put on that is whether or not you would be willing to state your criticism directly to the person you hold responsible, or the person or persons who have made the policy you are criticizing.

Love isn't blind. (At least not for very long). Nor should it be.
But love should be supportive, even when criticizing. You sound from your question above that your desire is the good of America in your criticisms of it, so on those grounds I see no problem and everything right with thinking honestly.

Truth without love is destructive and is love without truth.

One of the biggest problems we face here is that we are at war. And the "truth" of the medica seems not designed for the welfare of anyone and does seem designed to weaken the U.S.
In war conditions a heart and a face of unity is imperative, because to show or create divisions within the country is to weaken the U.S. in the eyes of it's enemies and that strengthens their resolve and keeps the war going on longer.
Perhaps this is why some people responded so negatively to your comments.

Always think for yourself--but keep well-informed; but you don't always have to say everything. That's where maturity comes in. When you put yourself into a public forum you have to expect to get flack back. It goes with the territory.

It seems to me your participation and handling of the situation are demonstrating some of that growth to maturity, and I hope I have perhaps been able to articulate and perhaps extend your thinking.

It is not traitorous in the least. However, it is a waste of your time as well as that of everyone else to point out faults without also proposing possible solutions. That is the only way to correct problems.

No...plus you live in the US don't you?
That is supposed to be one of your constitutional rights: to free-speech. If you choose to exercise your right and question decisions that were made by the leaders of your country then there is nothing traitorous about that.

Now if you were selling security information to enemies of your country, well then that is a whole other story and you would be entering the area of Treachery and coule possibly be investigated for treason.

Yes you should question things. If no one questioned anything then people would follow blindly and nothing would change. The people who criticise you are ignorant and probably 12 years old.

It's our Constitutional right. Not only the right to free speech, but also the right to petition our government for a redress (remedy) of grievances.

And read the Declaration of Independence -- it goes so far as to say it's our duty to do so.

The beauty of the USA is that we have "freedom of speech". And while we may not always agree with one another, we should never forget that we are all entitled to our opinions, and that we are BLESSED to be able to give voice to them. If only people could just "agree to disagree" and not become so angry and hateful!

To question and then try to rectify, is wisdom.
To blindly follow, even if you know, or think, it's wrong, is utter stupidity.
This is why the world is in such a mess.

I think the answer is pretty obvious...don't be blind to what's really happening.
