It may help just a little bit. It seems a lot of people just don't care or think it is important.

Dream on. Looks to me as if a majority of people couldn't care less about either grammar or spelling.

But that's not usually why people go on here, is it??

Judging from the sad state of people's spelling and grammar, I'd say no.
