The procedure in itself shouldn't hurt at all, as long as it is carried out by a properly trained physician in an appropriate medical facility. You'll be given regional anesthesia like a pudendal nerve block [this will completely numb your pelvic area], and may be given an intravenous analgesic/sedative as well. Afterward, you'll probably experience some mild, period-like cramping for a few days; these cramps can be easily managed using either an OTC analgesic such as Tylenol or a mild narcotic analgesic {like Tylenol plus Codeine, Lortab or Darvocet}; aspirin or its derivatives [Motrin, Advil, Aleve] should be avoided because they have blood-thinning properties and can increase the risk of excessive bleeding. You may also experience a light spotting for some days; any bleeding that's heavier than a moderate menstrual flow should be reported to the doctor ASAP. In a couple of days you should be able to go back to your usual daily routine, including work, but avoid overexertion and heavy lifting. You must refrain from vaginal intercourse for 4 to 6 weeks after the procedure, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Don't pay any attention to the people who are trying to make you feel bad or guilty calling you a baby killer or worse; it's YOUR body, YOUR life, YOUR choice, not anybody else's. I hope that my advise has been of some help and comfort; contact me if you need further advice or some emotional support. They give you so much drugs and such that you don't really feel it. It just depends on you. When I woke up I was in such much pain physically and EMOTIONALLY. Abortions hurt in so many more ways. You should really sit down and think is this what you want to do, because once you lay on that table there's no getting up.
I believe everyone has a choice whether or not to get an aborton, it's your life and no one can tell you what you can or can not do. I personally will never get another one, two doctors told me I should get an abortion since they knew my second baby wouldn't make it. Anyways, its you're CHOICE.
But, to aswer your question, yes without drugs it will hurt. With the anesthia you'll just feel some cramping for possibly a week but no more than 3 weeks and you'll of course bleed.

Yes and No. I believe it has a lot to do with how far along you are. Within the first couple of weeks, there's very little disconfort. More like regular cramping. I recommend the suction method for this early stage. It is less damaging to the body when done properly. As for emotional pain, it very much depends on your beliefs. How soon does life really begin? Do you want children? It is a very, very personal choice that only you can know how it will affect you. Please follow your heart, regardless of other's prejudices regarding this subject. I wish you peace with whatever choice you make.

Yes abortions will hurt you for the rest of your life physically and mentally.. If you don't want the child give others the opportunity to adopt, alot of couples can't even have children. Please don't kill the baby. If I were you I would watch some abortion videos and it may definitely change your mind when you see the babies little feet and hands and little body that get's ripped into separate parts....ugh!! It's your choice.. But I wouldn't do it.

The procedure doesn't hurt as you will be under anesthetic. The side effects will be mild discomfort in the abdomenal region for a few days. The doctor will prescribe some pain medication for you.

Yes, they're going to hurt. If you're not given anesthetic, the procedure itself will hurt, and you'll likely have cramping for several days afterwards.
Make the best choice for you if you are pregnant. You can also consider adoption. There are thousands of couples who would love to have a baby to adopt.

The action of having the abortion will be virtually painless. They use a local anestetic, and you will feel no pain. You will be given a prescription for pain medication afterwards.. there will be cramping and pain for a few weeks after the procedure.

I have a friend who had one.
When we left the hospital and a few days afterwards, she had only one symptom, cramping, which to her, was less painful than period pain. She was almost 3 months pregnant (if I'm recalling correctly).
That's all I can help you with.

Besides the physical pain involved with ripping something out of your body, there will be mental and emotional pain to follow.
