Yes, George himself was in the opera scene *where Palpatine summoned Anakin..George was covered entirely in blue and sitting in the seats...and his son was indeed a Jedi youngling who sadly didn't live to see the end of the movie*

I dunno bout that but I do know that his son was the youngling who was trying to reach Senator Organa on the platform and they shot him right before he made it.
