No, Yahoo Answers is never a waste of time when used as it was intended. I thank you for this excellent question. It is good to get first hand accounts on life questions. We may always double check answers. It is very fulfilling to have someone who has experienced something to tell you about it.

Of course it is. But if you sit 8 hours at a boring job like mine everyday, then you will pray for something as entertaining as yahoo answers. Plus you do find out some weird answers to questions that actually make sense. So i waste alot of time on here to make my day go better.

I think that it is a lot of fun. You never know when you might get an answer, to a question that you have posted. Someone just might be helpful!! SO in answer to your question ...NO Yahoo! Answers Is NOT a "waste of time"

Basically we are all here to entertain ourselves and to exercise our "brain cells". I also think that if we can help someone out with a question or a problem...it sort of gives you a good feeling. "A waste of time"...not exactly, could you be doing something more constructive?....probably, but each of us know why we are here....boredom, passing time,learning something new, sharing our thoughts, venting....we are keeping the "lines of communication open" with other people who you have no idea what they look like or where they live and it does not matter...and that is a good thing. Just plain and simple 'entertainment'.

It could be, but if you offer valuable information which is helpful to others it isn't a waste of time. Some responses are worthless, some questions are stupid, but many questions are worhtwhile to give honorable answers which can be valuable to people.

yes sometimes because some questions people could answer by their self. Others ones that are really hard and you know the answer you might make some body's day

For getting the stupid points to ask questions, yes. But it is rather helpful for some questions I have to ask.
