Listen, I know you will say I am a freak, but I am really just a normal man. Heres the deal. I have been away from my wife for about 6 months and I admit, I have been looking at porn on the computer. My wife will freak about this. She isn't very understanding about it, not many are. I want to know if there is a program on dos I can run, or other ways to find where I have been on the computer besides erasing the history, internet files and cookies. I need all the help I can get and will try just about anything to make sure she doesn't find out I was looking at it and to make sure she doesn't find out I tried to cover it up. Let me also add, my wife is a computer freak. She has much knowledge in Information Tech (IT). Any advice?

First erase all those nasty pics and vids from wherever you saved them to your PC.

Then, go into the Tools > Internet Options of your IE, or Preferences in your Navigator, and delete you history, cookies and files.

Then use CCleaner (download.com) to empty the recycle bin (better removal of files), it's free.

Then use a tool like Spybot (www.spybot.com, it's free too) and/or Lavasoft's Ad-Aware SE (download.com, also free), and check and clean your computer that way.

if its actually becomming a distraction for you because you spend too much time huting **** because it is so easily availiable - then I would suggest installing a family-filter type of software program that automatically blocks most **** and keeps you from being exposed to it. If you have a problem with controlling yourself in disabling the filter you can fix that by using one of the program that cna have a password on it to control the settings. Input a long rnadom password you won't be able to remember and write it down and give it to a friend for safe keeping - preferably one who dosn't live with you - so it is enough of a hassle that you won't bother with going to get it back just because you want to look at ****. If you have a bank-box or something like that you could use that too. Anywhere that that takes a good amount of time and effort to get back. I don't recommend just using a password and not keeping it somewhere - because you might find out that you have to change the settings later at some point - maybye an important website that isn't actually **** gets blocked. I do not have a direct recommendation for software to use - but there are very many alternatives and you cna find a lot on google by searching "pornography filter". There are both paid and free alternatives to choose from. If the main problem is that you are using too much time on it, and not just that you are looking at **** in general - you might just consider having a small collection of your favorites stored on your computer. As long as it is small enough that you allways know what you have you will not feel the same instinct to "treasure hunt". The problem on the internet is that there is allways more to find no matter how long you spend searching - but once you reduce the amount there is no longer any reason to spend so much time searching. -Stigma

Both IE and Firefox have a history display. Just search for it on your menus. When the history is displayed you can remove single items by pressing delete in IE or shift delete in Firefox. You will have to delete the individual cookies after displaying them. There is no way to know what was a porn site.

The time to worry about any action is before you engage in it. You'll be sorry you checked out porn. The robber is sorry he stole, after he's caught. The murderer is all tears when he's awaiting the needle.
Think first, maybe you won't have to be sorry.

If your wife is all that savvy, lets hope she didnt have a keylogger running eh'?

Maybe you should just tell her, as long as you're not addicted to it, I don't see a problem, course I don't know your wife either, LOL
