Are you in Canada or the US, it makes a difference.
If in Canada you could hold the birthday party after the long weekend, so the next weekend. Make it harvest themed but throw in a little hallowe'en fun too, if you celebrate hallowe'en.
During that time of year there are always hay rides, haunted houses or ghost walks to go on, which can make a pretty neat party. You can use all the earth tones.
If it's an American thanksgiving , that may be a bit harder as people do travel long distances. But you can still have a theme party, maybe do it the nov/december weekend and see if there are winter festivals in your area you could attend . Emphasize the spirit of the season by using traditional colours like green, red, white, gold, silver. Hope that helps. Just remember to send out your invitations very early but not too early so people will forget.

Have a sleepover party Thanksgiving night, then have your Mom drive you all over to the Mall for shopping first thing Friday morning to catch all the "Day After Thanksgiving Sales"! Invite everyone at least 2 weeks ahead of time and let them know what you have planned - you'll have a great time!

I would say have an early birthday or a late birthday. You could, then, still have the party, and not have to worry about everyone saying no because of thansgiving. But make it like at least a week before or a couple of days after. Happy Birthday!

If your birthday isn't on Thanksgiving Day, have a birthday party on your birthday.
Have Thanksgiving on Thursday.
Do both on their designated days, and invite only the people you want to come.

Celebrate your half-birthday instead. If your birthday is November 25, your half-birthday would be 6 months away on May 25. That might be a better time for a party.

you should have your b-day the week before Thanksgiving, that way your friends can have time to spend with their family's on Thanksgiving and you can spend time with your's. That way everybody would come to your Birthday Party the week before Thanksgiving and have fun before the week they have to cook for their family's for that special day. **** Luck! I hope you find the answer that you are really looking for.

I know how you feel. My birthday is in November too. Have it the weekend before or after. Or...two options. My school was pretty small..so I would bring cupcakes or a cake to school and celebrate there with everyone. Or if its ok with the parents have a party at your house after school. Arrange it so that a couple parents can pick everyone up and take them to your place (unless the bus will allow them to get off at your house). Pizza, cake and ice cream. Simple and fun!

Throw yourself an "unbirthday" party another time of year! My son's birthday is July 4, but he never had any problems getting people to come. My daughter's birthday is just after Christmas, and still no problem.
