personally i dont think they exist. you make a point- if they were taking over i think they could try but we could probably put up a fight. and why haven't they if they do exist? it doesn't add up. i'm in agreement with you. And if they did exist why haven't we found them on their planets. We have photos of many planets and no life forms seem to exist, let alone be able to take over our planet. They would have to live a really long way away to escape our technology.

Ok first of all, they do not reside IN our planet....I don't even think they reside ON our planet.
Now, I do believe they are out there somewhere, because there are stars (like our sun) that are way too far away, so far away that none of us will ever reach it in our lifetime. How advanced are they? No one knows or will ever know....they may be more advanced, just as advanced as us, or for all we know could still be like cavemen!
We have been in space enough that if there really WAS anything out there, we would have at least had some sighting or evidence while in space. I do not think they would come here anymore than we would go there, at least lets hope not. I think Area 51 and all the tabloids are just hype. I think there is something at Area 51, but not what they promote....I think it is some other type of secret government thing that they are covering up and making us think they have aliens there.
I think the only reason our government sends astronauts to the surrounding area and planets.....is because they know nothing is there. We have proof that life cannot be sustained on our surrounding planets.....that is why we are on Earth.
If they were here, like you said, they would have already taken over because humans have messed up so bad.....if they were coming, do you really think they would have waited so long....humans have been around way too long and our planet is so far gone, they probably already know they would not survive here if they did take over.
Stop worrying about it.....stop watching so many movies lol.

Assuming there are such things as aliens, what would be their psychology?
Obviously if they are advanced there would be nothing intellectually, technically or philosophically that would interest them. Therefore there would be no reason for them to contact us for anything.
The only interest that we would hold for them is as some kind of resource. Just like we clear land to live on, we don't destroy all weeds on the planet, just ones in the area we want to build something. So for them it would be just to influence things to corral us into certain directions without giving up the whole game. For example if they have been here for hundreds of years and wanted to play with man genetically, the best thing would be to give man that knowledge quickly. Then when they are at that level of tech, get them to "explore" certain possibilities.
So how would you make man more technical and play to their greed? You could take a "low tech" type ship to you and crash it in a New Mexico desert right next to an army base where high tech secrets are being developed. You could have some drone aliens you create to do minor tasks in that ship. Maybe they survive, maybe they don't. Regardless you have given the most promising economic country that just won a world war, a technical goldmine. Just wait a few years and they will be booming with new things. The best part is they think they did it all themselves. Now you can make the experiment do what you want without suspicion.
So the goal of an advanced race may not be to conquer but to convert. It may not be looking for natural resources as the universe is full of it. They may be looking to see if humans can be genetically altered to bring out a better species or attributes they can incorporate in their DNA.
There that is my science fiction conspiracy theory of the week.

If they are here they have been here for a long time and most likely have their fingers in everything..they probably helped to make the world what it is today and so they feel and believe just as we all do in our personal opinions...some may want war some may not ..but if they are here living and breathing on our planet..im sure they arent too much more advanced..if I was Id be bailing from here!

I don't think they exist on EARTH, but maybe on Venus or another planet. The reason they haven't visited is this : Once a civilization has reached this stage in its development its too unstable for their liking. We're just going downhill now, and they'd rather not take any chances on being here when nuclear war breaks out, etc.

Personally i think that there might be aliens in the outer space, for i blv that there might be another planet(s) that r suitable for some form of life, but the idea of having aliens here on earth i don't know abt that, yet i have to agree with you on the fact that if there r aliens on earth y don't they show up... Don't you think it would be cool to actually see another form of life, i.e other than earthly beings!!

Perhaps we were/are an experiment of theirs and they want to see how we get ourselves out of the mess we've gotten ourselves into. Or, perhaps they have a non-intervention policy - watch, but don't interfere and if they are intelligent enough to be able to get here that would almost surely be the case. And, its unlikely they would land and say "Take me to your leader." They would probably want to meet with the leading scientists and thinkers - the leaders would be totally irrelevant to them. And, if they are so advanced as to be able to conquer space, they would probably beat the crap out of the world's combined military forces in a matter of hours - and we all know, that the military mind is to attack even though they might be coming here peacefully.

I'm not into things like this but almost anything seems possible these days. Okay it's probably like this. If they want to help us they can't because the government won't let them. They've probably imprisoned them to conduct disturbing research. But if they came here to attack us they have the perfect oppurtunity. Pretty much every country is fighting each other right now so they could easily kill a lot of us.

i think there are aliens out there but as far as them here on our planet, highly unlikely unless theyre dead. even if they are highly more intelligent than us our planet may still have certain aspects of it that they either dotn have use for and are not intrigued by. maybe they havent found us yet they can be advanced but its a big *** sky out there and they may not have found us yet...who knows all i know is we cant be the only existence in the universe thats not thinking outside the box at all when u think we're it and thats it remember we can only see so many planets a few out of thousands possibly millions, even if there is just one form of life per galaxy we would never find proof. just because we checked a few planets of of millions doesnt mean to cancel out the possiblity by far!

If there were an advanced alien species i doubt they would introduce themselves to us considering the current situation of the world. That having been said i don't understand why everyone seems to think that if there are aliens they are more advanced than us. For all we know there are cave men like species littered all over the universe.
