in Judaism (reference old testament King James version) it is a sin to spill seed with out the intention of reproducing. So I would say that yes it is a sin

no it is fine. You need to explore your sexuality before having sex so you can ensure that your functioning properly. The book of lies and fairytales called the bible calls it a sin but corrupt men made it so.
