The belly button is where the nutrients are transfered from the mother to the child...no one gave birth to Adam and Eve...so were they bellybuttonless...? And how come the pictures of Adam and Eve HAVE bellybuttons...seems kinda pointless. It's like having an extra a s s...you really don't need it...whats your opinion

Genesis is full of allegorical stories. It answers where death came from, why women are below men, where the rainbow originated, where the different languages came from.... pluss many other ancient questions.

They were the only humans w/o bellybuttons. Any pix portraying them with navels is purely the artist not thinking about the fact that God created Adam from dust, and Eve from Adam's rib. Interesting to think that we are created in God's image, tho, and wonder if He has a bellybutton and why . . .

No, I don't think Adam and Eve had a bellybutton. God would have no reason of putting one there. Why the pictures show them with one. Mortals felt the need to add them.
