I agree with you, it all starts at home with the morals we instill in our children, it is apparent that the person making mockery of Sept 11 either had absent parents, or parents who just did'nt care about them.

I agree with a lot of the answers on here. Some people just don't look at funny the same way as you do. A normal warm hearted person would be in some way touched by the september 11 attacks, a cold hearted, detached person would find humour in our collective responses to all the atrocities that occured that day.

The only way it would be funny, would be if all middle eastern, muslim people were in the buildings and the rest of us normal people were safe elsewhere, and no firefighters came to help them , yet they all lived just all paralyzed from the neck down, so they could not even commit suicide to go meet allah. That would have been funny !! Also funny would be all US troops safe at home and 50 mushroom clouds over the middle east the next day burning muslims beyond recognition and making the world a better place. It sure fixed Japans *** and ended that war, oddly enough they dont believe in war anymore. Huh go figure !

Some people are shallow. Some are a tad bit 'thick between the ears'. Some people view roller coasters as fun, until they hear of one breaking and people getting killed. Then it is a disaster--until they hear the thing was fixed, which makes them think roller coasters are fun again. We entertain ourselves with vile and violent things in the movies, on TV, in games. Then we want to live and drive like that as if it were true in real life. We socialize with the attire and mannerisms of the current anti-social fads and wonder why life isn't nice. Some people indeed have no heart, mean and cruel people are all around us--but those that find it funny are different, they are simply stupid.

Because you're referring to the use of it on this site it could be someone who's immature and wanted to make others angry. Or it could be someone just trying to find out how people will react. I agree with you that it's sick but stuff like this happens all the time.
One thing that complicates this question is that no one has a definite answer about child development so it's hard to say what would make a person "horrible" whether it's natural or something to do with how they're raised.
More or less I think that some people turn out like that because they have to. I think that humanity needs some sort of balance to thrive and I think that's why some people turn out great and others turn out horrible. Maybe that answer doesn't make a lot of sense.

The aftermath of 9-11 is an everyday reality in other countries. Prior to 9-11 amercians really didnt care. But now that the same thing happened to us, we expect the rest of the world to care.
Its terrible how we boo and hiss at the UK's national anthem at international sporting events while they cheer for ours. Even after 9/11 there was a large group of people on TV from england who were singing our national anthem.

I believe that the majority of the people on the planet do have a heart. I don't think you would hear about so many acts of kindness and selflessness if there were not so many people with a caring heart!
Of course you will always have those who suffer from various personality disorders and mental illnesses that can cause them to be uncaring and selfish individuals and to actually be void and incapable of any true feelings for others.
There are also the "me first" people who are programmed to always put themselves first and not have a gnat's navel about their fellow man and/or creature.
Then there are people who just like to incite the anger and wrath of others in an attempt to gain attention. Try to think of them as cyber bullies. They can't push you around in the physical sense, so they choose to hurt and anger you online.
Just as the bullies that you meet everyday in real life....these "cyber bullies" people usually feel inadequate and inferior and strike out at others because of their low self esteem. These people are abusers, being abusive to others who are smaller, meeker or weaker. Abusing the helpless only makes them feel more powerful.
I think it's best to just ignore the people who asked the questions meant to hurt and anger. They only gain self gratification by hurting others and if you react to their questions, you only feed
their low intellectual needs.

Not funny. However; it was ironic.
When we backed Israel in making it's own nation we had a problem. There is a military concept of the friend of the enemy being the enemy themselves.
Years later we found ourselves in a cold war with a country formerly known as the United Socialist Soviet Republic. The same Arabs found themselves in danger of being taken over by the said country. So; we decided to send a bunch of special forces officers of various kinds to go over and train them to fight the USSR not realizing a superpower is a superpower is a superpower is a superpower. Essentially you teach a notion how to fight one superpower you teach them how to fight all superpowers including your own.
All these years they figured themselves no match for the nation that essentially declared war on them. However, they grew to realize that they could actually do some damage with the unconventional warfare that we had taught them. Hence 9/11.
I'm not providing excuses. Merely a short military analysis of that situation.

Never saw the question, but if you have been on here long enough you have seen and read allot of stupid questions. Maybe they were just trying to get a rise out of people...we all know it not now or ever going to be funny!

You have to put things in perspective and look further away than your own town.
Of course its not funny, but millions of people die every day, from war, from salvation, and so on.
Its a whole lot worse in Lebanon, at the moment, and your government is supporting it, that makes 9-11 indeed a joke, doesn't it?
People have a hearth, an egoistic hearth, if they get hurts its always worse than hurting someone else yourself.

You obviously live in a very protected environment, so its hard for you to understand 'bad' things. Thats just how it is in the world, kill or be killed. i know a kid who got stabbed for a soccer ball last week. He's dead.
Just enjoy that u dont have to always live in this world, because ignorance is really bliss.
It may be wrong, but its normal, and its nothing to say that the twin tower thing was funny when you've seen a whole lot worse.
