Seveal ways, actually. Though you sleep "good", this doesn't mean you are getting needed sleep. Many times y oung people feel that they can get all the sleep they need in only a few hours. Then later, in restful situations (such as surfing) the body begins to relax and go to sleep. This is also common when y ou consider WHEN you surf. If you surf mostly at the end of the day, the coincedence of the laptop and the time of day can merely make you think that the laptop is the cause.

Another possiblity is that you're having problems with the refresh rate on your laptop's screen. This, coupled with your body's own chemestry, causes your eyes to become tired when viewing the constant flashing in that setting. You may try to reset the "refresh rate" to see if this can be alleviated.

I fall asleep most every time I pick up a book to read. Maybe something about it just makes you tired, or maybe because you aren't moving around too much while you're on it? You could try placing it on a bar or counter where you have to stand up to use it?

The focus distance to your screen may be different for a laptop vs. a desktop.

Maybe you need a prescription for the viewing distance to avoid eyestrain that also feels like drowsiness?
