Fear can be the one's emotion that always helps you make the right decision. Other emotions can lead you down the wrong path. Anger, jealousy, sadness, bliss - you name it. Good or bad, they take you out of the moment and cloud your thinking so you could easily make a dumb choice. Not so with fear. when you're scared, you pretty much know what you have to do. Usually, it's to get the heck away from whatever it is you're scared of. Fear heightens your senses and makes your thinking do clear, you stand a better chance of beating whatever you're afraid of. When you're afraid, you're On. So what do you think? is fear good or it's worst emotion of all?

Absolutely! From fear we learn to take our time and analyze things. Then we can do 'things' with powerful information. It is wise to fear jumping out of an airplane. So, you learn how to pack your chute - and watch as the expert packs your chute! Your fear has forced you to ensure the safety of your own life.

Fear cause adrenaline to flow, and people to run faster, or perform miraculous feats also. Like the woman that picks up a car to get it off her kid that got run over.

Fear should not stop you! It should make you learn!

Fear, it seems, is a survival mechanism. It keeps you out of dangerous situations. If you're afraid of heights, for example, you won't go near cliffs and possibly fall off. If you had a near-death experience with drowning then perhaps you realize how close you came and don't go in the ocean anymore because you know it could happen again.

I think we've developed our own social fears, however, that aren't necessarily a good thing. Ie: fear of commitment, fear of rejection, etc. Unless these stem from our natural desire for reproduction and thus social acceptability, there doesn't seem to be a reason for them.

I think Fear in a way holds you back from opportunitys. the fear of going up and talking to people prevents you from making new friends, I think when you are afraid to do something your fear gets in the way of you growing and learning. I think there are two types of Fear, the first being afraid that if you do not do something like following the law that you might get caught and get in trouble, the second fear is the fear that you might hurt someone in breaking the law, which prevents you from breaking that law. so depending on what type of fear it is, then it could be good.

Fear is the "fight or flight" emotion. You need to make a split-second decision to do one or the other.

Of course, there are rational fears - and irrational ones. Irrational fears are more like phobias, so would not be good for anyone.

fear is a good thing in some instances but not all the time. I'm sure you'll be able to know what instances. fear also makes you do some things that you normally wouldn't do in most cases good things. fear depending on how you look at it could be good or bad. hopefully I've answered your question.

Fear is never good. Fear freezes the mind's ability to discriminate between perceived threats and actual threats and causes one to retreat from healthy participation in humanity.

Without fear we would not know what we are capable of.

Courage is being afraid of something but doing it anyway.

I am courageous because I am fearful.
