The walls were never finished meaning the seams where never taped. They were jsut left alone. I want to tape the seems so they will not be visable anymore.

get joint compound ready mixed for about $5 a bucket. joint tape in either paper or sticky tape. put down a bed of compound then emerse the tape then add a little more over the tape. Get it as close to perfect flat as you can to minimize sanding which gets into EVERYTHING. when it drys run a flat 4 in putty knife over it to knock off any high spots. very little sanding, use a vacuum if you can. then another coat. when your happy use primer sealer to seal it or else it will suck up all your paint.

Are you talkingabout drywall seams? You need to be more specific. There is drywall tape on the market of course, but that job usually requires a professional unless you really know what you're doing and can finish the process without any seams or tape showing through.

I think you can go to a hardware store and get that kind of tape to seal the seams.

I`m not sure what seams your talking about, but you can buy painters tape at any place that sells paint.
