We have been really close since we met. And in the early days he even admitted that I would be perfect for him. However since then, I am the first person he talks to when he likes a girl. The first person he turns to for advise.
I really love being there for him, but it is tearing me apart because it aint me that he wants... what should I do?!?

Oh Wow this is a biggie. You'll be taking a big risk if you go for it, it depends on how good a friend he is because there is allways a chance that if you do 'go for it' he might not feel the same and perhaps this will ruin your friendship. If you really cant help yourself then be careful how you go about it, I think the softly softly approach may be best, broach the subject slowly and pace the conversation with how he reacts. But you must ask yourself has he been jealous when you go out with blokes? Is he flirty with you? I really hope he feels the same as you! Just dont be too disappointed if he doesnt feel the same. Move on and keep being his friend. Sounds harsh but if he dont want you and you say you want him it could lose you your friendship. Or you could talk to him, maybe he loves you too but is unsure how you feel. Get really drunk one night with him and make a pass, if he turns you down at least you can blame the drink and say you cant remeber. Good Luck xxx

best thing i can suggest be there for him as u have dune in times of need cause even though u like him more don't let him know by how much u could lose any chance of making it i know i have dune same thing and now this women that i like is not being so surrportive now and wants me to bk off for a while cause i told her i liked her bad move i surrpose learning curve

I say just come right out and tell him that you have those feelings for him. If you really are best mates then he should understand and maybe he will realize that he likes you in that way too and you could start dating. If that doesn't work out then he will still stick by you if you are really best mates.

it is difficult to tell him but try and ask question like "what does he like abt you most?, how will he like his wife or gf to llok like? what will make him fall in love with someone? find answers to these questins from him and read his mind if you find out that he answers them to your favour then i guess you have a chance but if he doesn't forget and consider him as a friend or you'll end up losing his friendship too.
