As I recall the song was written by Tito Puente and was most famously performed by Carlos Santana (his is the version everyone knows.) I don't know if either of them sounds like Astrud Gilberto.

The most famous version was by Sanatana, but to complicate things Carlos Himself isn't the vocalist, he never sings on his records.

it's santana, my school marching band is doing a santana show this year and that's one of the songs. when you translate the lyrics, it's kind of depressing. you think they're gonna be really cool, and they're just kinda stupid. the whole song is "hey, how are you, my rhythm is good for partying babe."
