The scooter runs. Seems to run well until gas is applied. when it is warmed up, it will get enough fuel to run, but if you give too much gas, it wants to die. I let off on the exelerator and it is fine. Is there an adjustable fuel regulator that can be tweaked to let more fuel in? Or any other suggestions that may be helpful. thanks so much!

sounds like jets are pluged or float has a hole in it so it does not let right amount of gas in carb

Sounds to me like your carb is clogged up. There are small jets that mix air into the incoming fuel mixture before admission to the carb's throat. if it clogs then the bike will feel like it's too lean because the fuel isn't atomized before ingestion. The float could also be stuck. Take the carb off the bike. Give it a good cleaning up, spray carb cleaner into all of the little orifices. Open the bottom and inspect the float for sticking and not letting enough fuel in. Older bikes tend to have these kinds of problems if they sat for a while.

Your scoot has no fuel regulator. Check the air cleaner, could be dirty. The exhaust pipe could be clogged. There is a way to check it. You might need piston and rings.

possibly a defective diaphragm within the pump itself , that would be your best option to replace the seal./ the fuel tank pipe goes to the fuel pump ,the pump fuel line goes to the carburator, ive never seen what the pump looks like so yes they come in differant shapes and sizes ,even flat type pumps.,the fuel pump shouldnt have an over flow pipe otherwise it would be pee-ing out everywhere.

adjust the carb. the bowl is probably flooded and dumping fuel in when enough air can suck it out

Main jet is blocked or your crank seals are shot.
