When my sister was pregnant she had similar cramps. Apparently, they are just slight contractions of your uterus. It's normal. You can ask your doctor for more details, if you like.

you should just see a doctor right away if you are cramping...the 1st 3 months in a pregnancy are very crucial. I had 2 miscarriages with both of them I was about 6-7 weeks and it started out with light cramping. See a doctor.

you will get some mild cramping sometimes. If there is any heavy blood with clots, along with sever cramps then go to the ER. since you are Pregnant, you will be having a lot of changes going on, and will feel all sorts of strange things. There is a book out there called pregnancies for dummies, (not being mean) and my friend got it for me, and I read that book from cover to cover many many times, and it really helped me to get through it. It covers everything that you can imagine, and with every little thing that I felt, I would run and get my book. You might try to see if you can find a copy, they are a great read. Good Luck and Congratulations

Yes, they're very normal. Once we find out we're pregnant, every twinge becomes very apparent, our senses our heightened and we start the worrying ...for the rest of that baby's life! The cramping you're experiencing is the uterus being stretched by the broad ligaments. It's just making room for baby. If you have really painful cramping with bleeding ...see your OB. What you're describing is completely normal. Not to worry! Congratulations!!!

These are normal and called Braxton Hicks, simply the uterus getting ready, and stretching. Also, during pregnancy, I found that if I let myself get too tired or thirsty I would start to have Braxton Hicks. My doctor ensured me that this is perfectly normal, my uterus is just tuning up, but it is not pleasant. To combat this symptom of pregnancy I make sure I always have some water or juice with me to sip to restore my energy and hydration.
