I'm applying for the new series of Castaway and they want a 5 minute video of me for audition purposes.
I don't really want to send in a boring one with a full face frontal of me just blurting out a load of stuff about myself. Can anyone think of any good ways in which I can 'spice' up the video so that it makes me stand out from the rest?
I'm not into doing it naked or owt like that, so any sensible suggestions would be welcome. Anything with a bit of humour that will make the producers laugh and remember me would also be good.

all i can say is be yaself they will know if you are just playing for the camera some want you to some like it natural so my advice just be yaself good luck

I think that if you tape yourself breaking coconut with a Ice-skating shoe on the beach it would definitely do the work.

Why don't you be yourself, it may sound boring & depressing but they don't want to see the wrong side of you. Producers like to see new fresh auditions, not the predictable.

Do it swinging on a long rope over a steep 200 foot drop.
Do it while sky diving.

you could show them how to make a fire using the natural materials around you
you could demonstrate your kissing techniques on a blow up doll
you could give them a 5 minutes dance routine
you could light up one of your farts
you could try to burp the theme tune
you could set your armpit hair on fire to show how hard you are
you could climb to the top of a tree and pretend to look for passing ships
you could build a shelter out of bits of garden waste
