Yikes - no I'm pretty fortunate when it comes to money - my biggest HOORAW is when I sold my house in California for triple what I bought it for and moved to Louisiana where I bought a flipping mansion with land outright! You should take tips from me - then you'd sleep better!

My husband and I bought a house 5 years ago which was built in the 1930's. It's just now showing its age and is a money pit. We had all new windows put in and vinyl siding put on. We did some new plumbing, but we still need to do more with that.
The ceiling in the basement is a low ceiling and the shorter floor jacks are hard to find.
If we were to put it on the market, we'll take a big loss because of the economy.

Hi
Boy have I ever many times the stupidest was I put about 40 k into the Elvis the American Musical that was on broadway ( for about 3 days ) about 12 years ago it was sanctioned by the Elvis estate and was put together by the people that did Barnum so how could it lose ( they projected videos of the vietnam war in the background and ended with a fat eskimo pie eating Elvis and at one point had 20' tall puppets onstage it was a disaster and I thought it would make me rich LOL I have had a lot of set backs since but that was when i was young and it hit me hard I jsut moved on and didn't let it over rule my life ... Hey it's only money and I can make more.

The mistake was shoving roughly $1850 into the pot on the strength of 3 kings and being beaten by 3 aces. I recovered by going home and mowing the lawn.

yes and instead of paying my debt I went on vacation and just got back and it is way bigger. I plan on working more and spending a lot less till I get all my bills paid up. Then I plan on saving some money back so I will not get myself into this situation again.

OK - major stupid move on my part. My credit already sucked and I can't balance a checkbook to save my life. My bank was hitting me up with big ($39 per item) NSF fees so I panicked and got payday loans. NEVER do this. They are the spawn of Satan!! They loan you money but every time you get paid they suck it out of your account immediately. So, between the NSF charges and these sharks I ended up with nothing! A huge mistake. Don't feel bad -- we all do stupid things from time to time!
