It's full chemical name is 3,1′-didehydro-3[2″(3′″,3′″ -dimethyl-prop-2-enyl)-3″ -indolyl methylene] -6-methylpiperazine -2,5-dione or, since that's a mouthful, you can refer to it as C19-H21-O2-N3 or Chrysogenazine.

It has been demonstrated to have activity against the bacteria Vibrio cholerae (which causes cholera) and is apparently relatively easy to isolate from natural sources in abundance. There seems to be some speculation that it might be made even more effective by modifying some of the nitrogen sources for the plant in special cultures.
